When I was a little girl I loved playing school, but I always wanted to be the teacher. Therefore, my sister and friends did not want to play with me, because I did not allow them to teach. As I begin to grow-up, I changed my mind about becoming a teacher. I wanted to work in Corporate America. So, I decided to major in Business Administration at my beloved Alma Mater, Albany State University. Upon graduation I worked for three major companies, but my heart was still longing to teach. Bravely, I decided to change my career path, and I became an educator. It was one of the best decisions that I ever made. There is nothing greater than the opportunity to assist in molding a child into a career/college ready young adult. Nothing tickles my heart more than randomly running into one of my former students, and they are all grown up; nonetheless they still remember phrases or lessons that they learned from me many moons ago, I absolutely love teaching children. It is truly my gift from the Most High! I am fulfilled daily when I see that light bulb go off in the heads of my students. I am grateful and thankful to wear the shoes of a teacher!
